What is the name of your company? A Toast to the Memories
Any background or personal information you want to share with our audience about your company? I have really enjoyed blessing my family and friends with my mad skill of being creative and resourceful with technology to create slideshows, or DVD movies for graduations, birthdays. And of course my favorite tear jerker one I made for my wife's birthday. My wife and I are also ministry leaders at our church that helps marriages in trouble. We have met with many couples over the past 7 years to help them fall back in love.
How long have you been in the industry? Working for free 7 years, getting paid for this - 1 month.
Who are the principals of the company? Myself, my wife and my kids (15 & 17) are going to scan pictures for spending money.
What is the favorite part of your job? Watching people when they check out the finished product.
What is your company's specialty? I like being creative with music and the pictures to make a DVD Movie. We also have equipment to transfer from VCR, 8mm, super-8, etc., to DVD Movie format.
What is the best "hidden secret" people would be surprised your company offers? For my first year, I am going to send people an empty box with pre-paid shipping so they can send photos and tapes to me for free. One other thing is my wife and I are marriage/family ministry heads at our church, and have ministered with many couples to get their marriage back on track with the Lord.
What sets you apart from your competition? I have seen their ads, and I am impressed. If anyone is in this industry; they love it and are very good at it. I feel that since I don't film or take pictures, I just work with the pictures and videos sent to me, I have more time to concentrate and work on the Video.
What expert advice do you have for a couple planning their wedding? Men need to be appreciated, encourage him in his work, and life. He will SHINE. Women need to be respected and treated gentle, listen to them, they are your helpmate (1 Peter 3:7). Do those two things, and you will be not only lovers but best friends for life. I am going on 20 years, and I love my wife beyond measurement.
Any special recognitions or awards from your industry? Happy customers. Nothing official....yet. I am the worlds fastest man on a unicyle, breaking the world record in 2001 with 11.93 in 100 meters.
Any other thoughts about your company we should know? If you know of anyone who would like to capture a student for graduation, or special occasion, give them your name and address, and I will send you $5 when I complete their order.

I'm 27 years old, have a beautiful 7 month old daughter and have been married for two years, so it hasn't been that long since I went through the wedding planning process! I began my business to utilze my talents to help my clients truly receive a product that is personalized, unique, of great quality and that exceeded their expectations.

What is the favorite part of your job? The combination of working with others and being creative. To me, it's the absolute pefect job. I love working with others, ESPECIALLY brides! They are so excited and joyful, and I feel as if I get to play a big part in setting the entire feel for their wedding by creating an invitation that is unique to them, their personalities, and their special event.
What is your company's specialty? Designs From The Loft specializes in all sorts of print graphic design projects. When planning my own wedding I really saw the lack for personalized, fabulous, unique, innovate and affordable invitations. It has motivated me to really build this aspect of my business.
What is the best "hidden secret" people would be surprised your company offers? Custom Monograms! There are lots of brides out there that would like to take on the job of creating their own wedding print material, but need something stunning to get them started. What expert advice do you have for a couple planning their wedding? Research, reasearch, reasearch! Ask other brides who have been through the process what they learned, what they would do differently. Research your options and find as many money-saving tips as you can!

Kaylene and David are a match made in Cyberspace!
Where are you each from?: David is originally from Chariton, IA and I am originally from Webster City, IA.
How did you meet? We met online in a chatroom one night when we were both bored and at home. We talked a few days before we met in person. The day we met, he picked me up at my house and I went to Adventureland with him. I got to meet some of his family the same day and I didnt even imagine that I would fall in love with him, but I did after he kissed me on the ferris wheel.
Tell us your proposal story? I kind of knew even before he asked me that he was gonna do it, but it kind of shocked me how he did do it. One morning we woke up together and he got down on his knees in front of me, in his underwear and asked me to marry him.
Where is the honeymoon happening? We are planning on going to Orlando for our honeymoon. I've never been there, but he has and I've always wanted to go to Disneyland and now I'm gonna get to.
When is the Big Day? It's July 21st, 2007.
What is the toughest part of planning your wedding? The thing that's probably stressing us out the most is making sure we get everything paid off in time.
What has been the best part of planning your wedding? My favorite part so far was picking out my dress. I wanted to make sure it was absolutely perfect and I found one.
Have there been any vendors you've been working with that have provided exceptional service? The place we are getting the tuxedeos at are very nice people. The place is, Afterhours Formalwear, in Valleywest Mall. The people there treat you very good and if you see them at any bridal shows, they save you money on your rentals.
Where do you each work? David works at Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona and I work at Walgreens. Neither of us are attending school right now, but I hope to be going sometime next year.
When you started your wedding did you have a budget in mind? We didn't really have a budget in mind, we just wanted to save as much as we could.
Tell us about your wedding. It's going to be an outdoor wedding in my hometown of Webster City. The ceremony is taking place at this little place on the outskirts of town called, The 7B Ranch. My colors are blue, green, purple and pink. Our reception is going to take place at the local country club and it's going to be decorated in the form of a Laui. We're gonna have tikki torches line the entrance to the place, palm trees, grass skirt table skirts, hawaiian music, etc.. My aunt is making our wedding cake and my uncle is going to barbeque for us. We're having pulled pork as the main dish.
My bridesmaids dresses are going to be made. Each one is going to have a different color dress and whoever they walk down with will have the same color vest. So it will be kind of a rainbow wedding.
Who is going to walk you down the aisle? My father.
Anything else special you care to add in? There is something unique about my dress, it has a pocket on the right hand side. The designer who made the dress is famous for it.
