Our Wedding Shows are a Dream! They are unlike any Bridal event you've attended and IowaBride.com developed the idea!
We've got several wonderful Bridal Shows lined up for 2006.
Our Bridal Shows are a unique experience. We have the Dream Series shows at one of our vendors facilities so you are able to see what they offer. We feature 25 to 30 vendors in a casual, elegant atmosphere.
We also have our shows for 2 to 3 hours after 5:00 at night. They are designed so you and a friend can take your time to visit with the vendors in a relaxed atmosphere. You can actually take some time to learn what the vendor offers.

Tell us a little about this wonderful Home!We are in a house built in 1867. We have upgraded the electrical wiring and plumbing, but have tried to keep the ambience of the era in which it was built. It is soothing, a bit old fashioned, and our guests seem to love the homey, comfortable feeling.

What is the favorite part of your job? My favorite part of my job is seeing the reactions of customers when they get their finished products.
What is your company’s specialty? Digital photography, photojournalistic and traditional photography used.
What is the best "hidden secret" people would be surprised your company offers? I don’t offer proof books, like the ones traditionally received after a wedding. Most often, family and friends see the proof book and not the finished album because they want to see the wedding photographs.
So the money spent on the final wedding album goes unnoticed, or hardly noticed, compared to the proof album.
Therefore, approximately 4 weeks after your wedding, a 10x10 final album with 20 pages (40 sides), containing approximately 200 pictures, is presented to the Bride and Groom.
This final album will be the album shared with family and friends!!It will also serve as the proof album in that any reprints desired will be selected from the final album.
What sets you apart from your competition? I am a one-person shop so you know who you will be dealing with from start to finish. I pride myself on customer service. I’m here to capture your wedding day memories so they can be cherished for many years

Hey soon to be married couple! What are your names? Christina and David
Where are you from? I am from Norwalk and David is from Hampton, Iowa
How did you meet? We met at a bar in West Des Moines, it happened to be the night of Dave's going away party to Seattle. I did not know this. I was with some friends and spotted Dave on the other side of the dance floor. I really wanted to meet him so I convinced myself to ask him to dance, and he gladly accepted.
His move date got delayed and we were able to spend some time with each other. He moved to Seattle for a couple of months, but decided to move back to Iowa and be with me. We have been together for over three years now.
Your proposal story? On June 15th, 2006 I got home from work and David had set up a path of tealights through out the house. There were pictures set up along the way of the many different moments we shared together. I got to the bedroom door and there was a sign that told me to knock three times before I opened, and there was Dave on one knee.
Planning on going on a honeymoon if so where? Yes, we are planning to go to a relative of Dave's lake home in Colorado.
When is the wedding? August 26, 2006
What is the worst part of planning your wedding? Not knowing what to do, or where to look for certain things. Flowers have been a horrible task. We are working together, and I have a great friend who has the best suggestions. She has also made our Save the Date Cards and will be making our invitations. I really don't know what I would do without her.
Any secret wedding tips to pass along to other gals planning their wedding? Work together! Keep each other going on the plans! Ask questions!
Any Vendors you’ve been working with that have provided exceptional service so far? We are getting our cake through Glorious Desserts, she had the best cake hands down. We are using Thunder and Lightning for our DJ service, they have great packages, and they are great to work with.
Finding bridesmaids dresses was another mess, but there is a place in Indianola called Party Palisades where they treat you with respect, they are very helpful and have a great selection.
Where do you each work? I work as a mortgage processor and closer for American Home Mortgage. Dave works for Geolearning as a business consultant and he also has his own home automation company called Digital Residence.
When you started your wedding did you have a budget in mind? Are you able to stay within it? Yes we do have a budget and we are staying within. It has been hard because my parents live in Pennsylavania, we made a huge binder of different ideas we had, and costs to figure a budget since they are not here to go with us anywhere. Thank goodness for Vonage or or long distance bill would be sky high!
Dave's parents are also taking on some additional costs, so that is helping out a ton. We all have made a pretty great team.
Tell us about your wedding. Our wedding ceremony will be at Windsor Heights Lutheran, and the reception is at Summerset Winery. We are planning to have a lot of fun wedding favors and wine! My dad is bringing kegs of his favorite beer from Pennsylavania. We are planning on a guest list of around 175.
Who is going to walk you down the aisle? My Father!
